I’ve carried these bags for many years. This is my fourth, my first was a large nylon and used mainly for international travel, it held everything. Next I bought a small gray and a red leather, these I used for every day. They can be used cross body or shoulder, distribute weight evenly and are very nice looking. Leather being a little heavy without anything in them is one thing another is I was having issues with my neck and couldn’t quit putting more and more inside which really made it heavy. I decided to get an extra small, after reading reviews decided on the distressed nylon in green, well it look a little like camo but I love it! Very light. The difference is one the inside pocket opens vertically rather than horizontally, to me it’s awkward. I always liked the Secret inside zipper now the pull is red and obvious. Minor things…I love them and the nylon is a great weight, the shade of green is very pretty. So buy these the are the absolute best and they last forever!I will use the product everyday as my main purse.I, too, prefer the non padded version BUT I do like this size. Everything I had in the next size up version, fits in this size, but without any wiggle room. Not sure I could add a sweater, water bottle, and my own Ziploc of popcorn for the movies (shhhhh) BUT this size looks a bit more 'stylish'. The padded pocket is big enough for my Kindle, and would probably hold an iPad mini. My 2nd gen iPad will NOT fit in the padded pocket BUT if I just stuff it into the main part of the purse, it WILL fit. You could also add a small wallet or things that were also not too bulky (ie flat-ish). The zipper just closes . . but it's nice to know I COULD get it in there if I had to. Ameribag should consider making the padded pocket with a velcro closure so it could be removed. I suppose I could possibly rip it out and use duct tape but . . . it doesn't bother me that much.UPDATE! The padded areas finally got to me . . so I took out the padding at both places. It's not attached at all. Make slits (around 2 inches long), stick your fingers in an curl the padding (styrofoam) around your fingers and pull it out. Patch the slits with Bondex Outdoor Restore. I wanted to fold it into my carry on bag and now I can! Also gives me a bit more room . . .My iPhone 4s fits inside the larger of the two 'magnetic' pockets . . but with only a small protective case. If you have a mega Otterbox, it might be a stretch. Because there are two pockets instead of the one, these pockets tend to only hold flatter objects. The smaller pocket will hold two packs of TicTacs. It's new and I suspect the fabric will loosen up a bit with use. These bags are great for travel . . I feel like I have a good handle on it. I was with a girl in Fiji who had her purse snatched right after making an ATM withdrawal. WAY too easy of a target, purses. On the strap, there IS a different kind of fabric towards the top that seems to be less slippery than the Nylon the bag is made out of. Someone previously mentioned that the non slip material was missing - it's there, just a different fabric than before.A 16 oz plastic bottle of water will fit in the outside 'spine' pocket, but because this bag is smaller, only half the bottle is in the pocket. Secure enough for a walk around New York but might fall out if you were running for a train.I backpacked around the globe well into my 40's and had a day pack that had my purse in it. Finally grew up and graduated to an Ameribag. The day pack for adults!I have used these bags for many years and especially was happy to see more colours available in the nylon fabric.I ordered the walnut one this time and was pleasantly surprised with the new long zipper inside. My only peeve with this bag had been when I carried letters or notes, lists etc and they ended up scrunched as I looked for something else. I know it says this space is for a tablet but it will be useful for containing papers also. The band that holds the key clip has also been lengthened. It was not elasticized before either. Sounds as if the product engineers are listening to their customers. I am not sure about the split magnet pockets - the smaller one is only about 2.5x2.5". The one meant for a cell phone is a little snug, but it will work - the opposite side also has a magnet now - that is usually where I put my phone for easy access; the magnet is a good safeguard. Another improvement is in the pen pocket inside... it was divided before and too tight for some pens. Now two medium pens slip in and out easily. All in all I know I will be ordering more of the soil resistant distressed nylon AmeriBags. Mine was fairly true to colour shown, if anything is a tiny bit darker, a very nice light brown colour.UPDATE: I still love the bag but I have had trouble getting out of automatic parking garages - i always tucked the little card in the small pocket after taking it from the machine. Last time when I had to push the button (again) for help they told me that if I kept the card by a magnet it would not work..... Who knew that? So now I make sure the card is elsewhere - but if you tuck it into a pants/jeans pocket, don't put it on the side you hold your bag on as there are magnets on both sides of the bag! But since I mainly shop on Amazon, it is not such a huge issue... Oh.. and now that small pocket is really useless.....any suggestions? I use the larger of the two small pockets for temporary storage of grocery store (etc) receipts, but it is not big enough to carry the phone now - yes it does fit snugly, but not convenient at all. Would love the full size pocket back (with velcro please).Good shape and size (I bought the XS one) for everyday use. My friend liked it so much I gave it to her, and another friend has bought one! They do not slip off your shoulder (a blessing), have numerous pockets for storing goods, even a place for your little umbrella. There's a lock to attach your keys to and also a zipper pocket. All in all a very good everyday dag I would highly recommend.I am extremely happy with my purchase. It is very comfortable to carry and I haven't had any back or neck pains at all while using it. the only problem I can find is that the umbrella keeps falling out of the pocket when I put the bag down, for instance on the seat on the train or in the restaurant. I have now learnt to check when I pick up my bag.!!!A very useful and good looking bag. Wonderful colour, strawberry, which I will use across the seasons. It also goes with all my clothes. I wear it across body where it is so light you don't know its there! I highly recommend these Healthy Back bags. This has been a really good buy. Use it when I go away, plenty of room for kindle and iPad and secure po jets fir passport and tickets.Excellent bag for those who have a shoulder problem as it can be slung over either shoulder. It's light, has plenty of inside and outside pockets. Great value.
